Aero Mechanical, Inc. is growing—and we're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Shop Manager to lead operations for our sheet metal division, RC Metalworks. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team during a period of strong growth.

The ideal candidate will bring advanced mechanical skills and a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes. This role involves managing the shop’s day-to-day operations, overseeing equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring safety standards, and supporting efficient project delivery.

We’re seeking a hands-on team player with a strong work ethic and a proven ability to manage shop operations effectively and efficiently.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of duties in the maintenance of equipment, including scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance and service.
  • Identifies faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics
  • Sources replacement parts and performs repairs.
  • Orders and maintains parts and tool inventories.
  • Maintains equipment and repairs or replaces malfunctioning production or processing machinery.
  • Inspects equipment on a regular basis.
  • Shuts down and disassembles machinery as needed.
  • Receives materials into the shop, verifies accuracy and stores in a safe manner.
  • Assists with construction deliveries as needed.
  • Assists in general warehouse and building management duties as needed, including leaf and debris removal, landscaping and snow removal (i.e. shoveling and plowing).  Some work done on roof top, etc.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs other duties, as needed and when assigned
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience repairing equipment or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced technical or college training preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain additional training to improve skills.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Use of a Windows computer helpful.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a team player and willing and able to work with minimal supervision •
  • Ability to drive safely.
  • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
  • Ability to maintain logs and records.
  • Ability to become a certified forklift driver.
  • Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must have valid driver license with acceptable driving record and ability to obtain CDL medical card.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, 75 lbs. occasionally.
  2. Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
  3. Must be able to work at roof top heights, using a ladder.
  4. Must be able to work outside in the elements.
